There is a short list of frequently asked questions at the bottom of this page which you may also find helpful.
Q: Can my children or other family members ride with the club?
A: If adult family members are eligible to join the CSSC then they can join the club and ride with you. Unfortunately children are not eligible to join the club and ride with us. However, venues like Vauxhall City Farm and Wormwood Scrubs do offer riding for children and we recommend that you contact them directly about this.
Q: Can I try the venues before deciding to join- to see if I like it or if I’ll pass the assessment to ride the cavalry horses?
A: We are confident that we offer riding for all levels and interests, so unfortunately it is not possible to ride at any of our venues before joining. You will need to be a member to take advantage of all the unique opportunities. The membership of £15 a year is very good value and we’re confident you’ll find something for you at one of our different venues once you’ve joined us. The one exception to this rule is that we sometimes offer ‘never ridden a horse before’ taster sessions- to allow complete beginners to see if horse riding is for them. Those sessions are open to non-members. Please contact the club for the next date.
Q: How much does it cost to ride with you?
A: You need to be a member of the CSSC to join, have a look at their website for more information, but this is around £45/year. You will then need to pay £15 as your annual membership fee for our club, the CSRC. In return you get access to very good value riding lessons and hacking, ranging between £30 and £40 per hour for lessons and hacks. We often put on subsidised events for our members, making clinics or long rides more affordable!
